Located in Anacortes, Washington on Fidalgo Bay, Anacortes Marina is a premier, private condominium moorage facility consisting of 466 covered and open moorage slips - which allows for a friendlier, less hectic marina environment for boaters to enjoy some of the best cruising grounds in the world. We serve moorage condominium slip owners, tenants, and guests. We are seeking a new employee to join us as a Maintenance/Custodian/Dock Worker, who is interesting in a fulltime, long term career position in marina property management. Work hours are 8 - 4:30pm daily. 40 hour work schedule to be determined may include weekends and summer holidays. Primary Responsibilities: 1. Use of hand tools, power tools and power equipment as required to complete a wide variety of cleaning and maintenance tasks. 2. Open office building and secure marina facilities as required. 3. Clean and paint facility as required including buildings, docks and grounds. 4. Pressure washing 5. Clean and sanitize restrooms. 6. Other related duties as assigned by supervisors. Minimum Qualifications 1. Able to read, understand and follow oral and written instructions. 2. Able to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing with supervisors and staff. 3. Flexibility to adjust your work schedule to meet the needs of the Marina. 4. Physical ability and stamina to do the work normally assigned and expected of a marina worker. Ability to safely lift and carry loads of up to 50 pounds, work on ladders and in high places as needed. 5. Demonstrated skill to work independently and with a minimum of supervision. 6. Demonstrated personal skills and a work history showing skills in decision making and ability to work well with staff and Marina patrons. 7. Demonstrated ability to be on the job and on time, on a consistent basis. 8. Ability to work outside year-round. 9. Prior maintenance and marine experience a plus.
