Have you thought about becoming a Foster Parent? Now is a great time to learn more! Washington state is in need of more licensed foster homes to care for children in need. Children are in foster care through no fault of their own and need a loving, safe and stable place to call home where they can grow and learn. Service Alternatives is a private agency that contracts with the state of Washington to license and support foster homes. We primarily license homes for children between the ages of 6 and 18 years old who need some extra support in order to be successful. Our agency provides wrap-around support to our foster families. As a foster parent you can care for a child full time or part time by providing respite foster care. Respite is a break and usually occurs over a weekend. We need respite homes as well!
