Description
Become a Foster Parent with Service Alternatives!
We are looking for people who would like to learn more about foster parenting. In Washington there are simply not enough licensed foster homes for the number of children in care.
Service Alternatives contracts with the state of Washington to license and support foster homes. We primarily license homes for children between the ages of 6 and 18 years old who require additional support in order to be successful. We wrap support around our foster families and work together to help children learn new skills and grow.
As a Foster Parent you can care for a child full time, or you can care for a child part time by providing respite foster care. Respite is a break and usually happens on a weekend. We need respite foster parents too! It's a great way to get started with foster care and for those who don't have time to care for a child full time.
This month we have Virtual Foster Parent Information Sessions coming up on 3/30 at 12 pm and 6 pm. Send me an email and I can send you the registration link.
I look forward to talking with you and answering any questions you have!
