Hi, We are Redshift 7, a late 90s- Todays Pop Rock Alternative cover band consisting of a lead singer, 3 x backup singers, 1 x lead guitarist, keys/ piano, 1 Rhythm guitarist and Drummer; in need of a Top Shelf Bassist. Unfortunately, our current Bassist has to take care of some real life issues, and is on a time crunch to get things done. Hope to fill his departure ASAP. We have tons of music ready to go, and the band is incredibly musically inclined, and hope for a bassist with matched attributes. Ideally, we are hoping to fill this opening ASAP, to gig in the next 2 months or sooner. For what it's worth, we are all vaccinated, for those who have at risk family members you may be worried about. Don't care for the politics about vaccines so... yeah. Looking for a Pro either way, which is most important. This is our first crack at trying to bring someone in that fits the bill. About us: We are quite different in what music we play. Our band covers 90s- 2K Pop Rock Alternative music, and cover songs that are incredibly intricate, while still covering absolutely fun and danceable music. Our band has top shelf gear, sound, and top shelf lighting for fully mobile pop-up shows, festivals and private parties. We also have our own rehearsal studio as well that we can play in, at just about any time, which is a very desirable place to write and experiment sounds in, at a 100% discount. Below is a list of bands we are covering, Foo Fighters, Kings of Leon, Blur, Cake, Blink-182, Eve 6, 311, The Killers, Radiohead, Weezer, Franz Ferdinand, Royal Blood, Nirvana, Sublime, The Strokes, Chili Peppers, STP, Lenny Kravitz, Third Eye Blind, Matchbox 20, Incubus, Better Than Ezra, Jimmy Eat World, The Black Keys, Bush, and many more songs from the 90s -Today. For us, we all grew up listening to the music we play and are all in our 40s, so the best fit would most likely be in the same age range. Interested Bassists, Please! have knowledge of the 90s music scene so this is as fun and natural for you, as it is with the rest of the band. If you don't know of any of these bands, do not apply. We are very serious about the music and show, however, we also want to make sure we have loads of fun and on that, we are focused on bringing in someone that we would also like to be friends with outside of jamming. Three out of four of us are married, and all of us have good enough careers to supplement our music habits, so we would hope you could also add with your own collection of gear and/or show equipment to the table too. What we don’t want: We don’t want people with drug issues, (recreational smoker is ok, as is a social drinker). We don’t want a guy that procrastinates with learning his parts. What will also disqualify you is being a know it all, that points the finger at others in the band or constantly complains.
