I have a 3 year old American Akita born 01/2019. She has been around kids ages 0 and up and is fine with them. She is okay to play with other dogs when properly introduced. We do take her to the dog park and she does fine. She is not nutered ( we weren't sure if we wanted puppies or not). She does best living inside with the family because she is very protective and nosy and wants to know what's going on always. She weighs around 70 lbs and is pretty lazy but she does get very excited to meet new people or when her people come home from work. She knows basic commands and will listen but she is extremely hard headed at times ( normal for the breed). We are working ridiculous hours and overtime right now and it is causing her to be kenneled for sometimes 10+ hours everyday which is not fair to her. She needs to be brushed frequently because of her under coat. She will walk on a leash but she definitely needs more training because she pulls a little bit. She is friendly with people she doesn't know. She is up to date on shots and gets her grooming at PetSmart in Meridian. ( they have all her records). She is a good girl with a good amount of energy and will make a great family dog. We hate to see her go but dont want her living in a kennel. We are asking 200$ for her, she will come with her food/water bowls, her leash and a couple of toys. If you have had an akita before or know the breed, preference will go to those families.
