Description

Hi, my name is Roxy! I live in Griffith, Indiana. I am a 1 ½ year old Australian Cattle Dog Mix. On 3/10/22 I will be spayed (That’s what my humans said. I don’t know what that means). I am current on all my shots and on Heartworm and Flea preventative. I weigh about 45 lbs. I am full of love and affection for my humans and love children, too. I love to play fetch and catch and I’m really good at it. I am Potty trained and haven’t had an accident in the house since. I ask to go out with a little bark and point to the door. If you don’t hear me a will do it a little louder. I do the same when I’m hungry but point to the bowl instead. I do Sit, Paw, Sit-up, Down and I’m learning Roll-Over. I love to sit with you too! And I always love belly rubs. I’m a good watch dog and will let you know whenever someone is outside or opens a car door. I’m a herding dog by breed so if the kids start running around, I will try to herd them for you. I do have a little anxiety, but my human mommy can calm me by rubbing my front paws, face and shoulders. I like to ride in the car, but it makes me nervous. But take me with you anyway. The vet makes me very anxious also, but I know they are there to help me. I like to walk on a leash but don’t do it nearly enough. When I go out in the yard, I’m on a 30 ft. run, but would really love a fenced yard. It takes me a little while to warm up to someone new, but I am very friendly and loving after I meet you. I am very smart and love to learn new things. I am currently living in a multi-pet environment where I did well as a puppy, but as I’m getting older, I don’t do too well with other dogs or cats. I chase the cats, but it’s because I want to play with them, but they don’t. I have a little scar on my nose because one of the cats didn’t want to play. I’m also starting to not get along at times with my older sibling. Not all the time, just once in a while. She is afraid of me now and doesn’t want to play or come near me anymore. I would best be homed with humans as an only dog. My humans would appreciate a rehome fee of $400.00 and this is mainly to cover the recent Spay and for the accompanying Heartworm and Flea preventative. So, if you want to meet me, please contact my Humans for more information.
