This position drives commercial vehicles equipped to transport a variety of materials and equipment. Essential Duties/Responsibilities Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. •Operates, maneuvers, navigates, and drives vehicles or mechanized equipment, such as rollers, mini excavators, and skid steers, or passenger vehicles •Uses relevant information and individual judgment to determine whether events or processes comply with laws, regulations, or standards and communicates abnormal working conditions to appropriate parties •Meets company and customer specifications for all restoration jobs •Communicates with supervisor daily to turn in required paperwork •Trains new employees in a safe and efficient operation of all equipment •Chips, scrapes, and grinds high spots, ridges, and rough projections to finish concrete and asphalt, using pneumatic chisels, power grinders, jackhammers, skid steers, rollers, mini excavators, pneumatic chisels, and hand tools •Finishes rolling and whacking •Works safely around backhoes, excavators, and dump truck •Cleans, checks fluid levels and conducts a visual inspection of vehicle/equipment to assure vehicle/equipment is performing at optimum safety, performs the required pre-trip, post trip inspections and the required paperwork, perform needed maintenance including winterizing equipment •Utilizes defensive driving practices •Operates truck in a manner that ensures compliance with all applicable company, state and federal safety regulations •Follows required company and DOT reporting procedures •Maintains paperwork during the day including DVIR and driver’s log book •Ensures the truck has current licenses, tags, permits, and proof of insurance Other Duties/Responsibilities •Performs other duties as assigned Supervisory Duties (if any) •None Employees are held accountable for all duties of this job. Job Qualifications Experience: •Two (2+) plus years of experience in roller/mini excavator operation is required •Two (2+) plus years of demonstrated experience in asphalt/concrete restoration work preferred •An equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted on a year to year basis •A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class A is required Additional Requirements/Licenses/Certifications: •Possession of a valid State Driver’s License is required •Candidates must pass Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) background checks, as a requirement of the job and pass a pre-employment drug screen Education or Formal Training: •HS Diploma or GED To apply go to: *Peak Utilities Services Group and Subsidiaries are an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer, Minority/Woman/Veteran/Disabled.
