Walk to celebrate some of Alexandria's women-owned businesses during women's history month When the country's first female vice president, Kamala Harris, stopped by Old Town Alexandria, which woman-owned shop did she visit? Which female entrepreneur has been recognized by Congress for fostering U.S.-Turkish friendship and just opened a store on King Street? Which female business owner commissioned a mural to celebrate the King Street business community? Come find out on this free walk, organized by the Alexandria Bicycle and Pedestrian Advisory Committee to celebrate women's history month. The route is about 1 mile and will cover parts of Old Town: https://ridewithgps.com/routes/38657921. All are welcome, including families with strollers. Well-behaved dogs on leashes are welcome too! We'll meet by the parking lot at 920 King Street. For everyone's health and safety, we'll be taking the following precautions: -- asking everyone to self-screen and not participate if they've experienced symptoms of covid or been exposed to a known covid case within the last 14 days -- asking people who are not fully vaccinated to give others at least 6 feet of space while walking -- keeping an eye on local covid conditions, and cancelling the walk if needed
