Looking for a contract or case-by-case ($45hr) handyman/building superintendent for 18 unit apartment building. Responsibilities: -Perform basic tasks including painting and drywall, clean facilities, and managing maintenance repairs. -Perform basic electrical, plumbing, mechanical, heating and carpentry work as needed. -Respond to clients’ maintenance requests in a timely and professional manner -Perform repairs on equipment or appliances when needed -Detect and report the need for major maintenance repairs. -Inspect & prepare vacant units for rental. -Keep entrances, walkways and stairways clear of debris, ice, and snow. Requirements: -Proficient skill in general plumbing, carpentry, mechanical, electrical, drywall & painting -Knowledge of working with hardware tools and power equipment. -Good listening, communication, and time management skills. -Detail-orientated and time efficient with strong problem-solving skills -Must be proficient at safely using tools associated with the job. -Must be able to maneuver in small spaces and lift heavy items.
