We have a wonderful home healthcare aide that I highly recommend, but we are ready for her to move on now. She has cared for my mother the past 6 months on Long Island, NY and as my mother says, "I would keep her forever, but it is time for her to work healing someone else." When we first met her, my mother was bedridden and not able to do much for herself. She worked day and night to meet her needs, even getting up 5+ times for the bathroom. She did everything for her with tender care. She set up a clothes table next to her hospital bed so my mother could pick out what she wanted to wear. She made the best meals and even watched TV with her. She is more than an aide, she is a cross between a mother and a friend. My mother says, "I would not have healed as quickly as I did without her.
