Description

EXPO MEETS MUSIC FESTIVAL AT THE FORT DESOLATION RENDEZVOUS IT’S THE MODERN-DAY RENDEZVOUS FOR ADVENTURE TRAVELERS Long before the American West was settled, the Rendezvous was a much-anticipated event where a diverse group of travelers came together for several days to buy or sell goods, exchange information, eat, drink, dance, sing and enjoy each other’s company. Fort Desolation is reviving the spirit of the mountain rendezvous—with a modern twist. A NEW KIND OF OVERLAND GATHERING Started by one of the creators of Nitro Circus, the Fort Desolation Rendezvous isn’t your typical overlanding exhibition. By day, the overland industry gets to show off the latest, greatest products and services to adventure travelers. By night, a full-blown music festival kicks in and everyone comes together for incredible entertainment, local food and beverages. Highlights include: * Exhibitors * On-site camping * Live music * Film/Video screenings * Artisanal food * Craft beer and cocktails * Outdoor cooking demos * Camping cocktail clinic * Product demos * Product raffle * And much more AN OUTDOOR OASIS IN AN URBAN SETTING We scoured the entire Wasatch mountain range to find the perfect forested outdoor location that’s also close to Utah’s largest metropolitan areas. Originally settled as a trading fort in the 1840s, Fort Buenaventura State Park is an 84-acre green space peppered with 100-foot-tall cottonwood trees and also features the legendary Weber River, a Blue Ribbon fishery. It's just a quarter-mile from historic downtown Ogden and 35 miles north of Salt Lake City.
