Press release from the City of St. Louis: April 4, 2020 The City of St. Louis Department of Health today reported a sixth COVID-19 associated death. The deceased was a female in her 80's. The Department of Health has no plans to release additional information due to privacy laws. "This terrible loss brings to light the severity of this virus and its impact on the St. Louis community," says Dr. Fredrick Echols, director of health for the City of St. Louis. "We need to continue to remain vigilant in our collective efforts to socially distance ourselves from each other, take preventive measures including good hygiene, and follow the executive orders by both the City of St. Louis and now by the State of Missouri." As of 5:00 p.m. Saturday, April 4, 2020, there were 21 pending COVID-19 test results approved by the Missouri Department of Health & Senior Services, 115 persons being monitored, and 328 positive cases in the City of St. Louis.
