Meet our guest speakers: -Katie Sweeny - CEO of AIME -Sarah Deciantis- CMO of United Wholesale Mortgage -Melinda Wilner-COO of United Wholesale Mortgage -Nancy Bayat- #1 Producer and VP at E Mortgage Capital Sarah DeCiantis has been UWM’s Chief Marketing Officer since 2017. In this position, she leads all marketing, advertising, and external and internal communications efforts. She joined UWM in 2014 as Vice President, Marketing; prior to that, she was the Director of Partnership Marketing for Palace Sports and Entertainment and the Detroit Pistons. She also worked for 10 years at nationally recognized advertising agencies including Doner, Campbell-Ewald and McCann Worldgroup. Sarah was recognized as one of the mortgage industry’s “Hot 100” by Mortgage Professional America in 2019 and was named one of the “Top 40 under 40” by National Mortgage Professional magazine in 2017. She was also awarded the 2019 Vanguard award by HousingWire. Most recently, Sarah was awarded the Crain’s Detroit Business “40 under 40” award for 2020. She earned her bachelor’s degree from Wayne State University. Melinda Wilner is UWM’s Chief Operating Officer, a position she has held since 2015. In this role, she leads over 5,000 team members in underwriting and operations, where she sets a new standard for excellence by focusing on efficiency, accessibility and service. Melinda works in lockstep with IT and oversees the largest collective group of teams at UWM, where she constantly strives to streamline the lending process for mortgage brokers and borrowers nationwide. Melinda originally joined UWM in 2011 as Underwriting Manager and has held positions such as Head of Underwriting and Chief Risk Officer. Melinda is a 2017 HousingWire Vanguard award winner and received a bachelor’s degree from Vanderbilt University. As the CEO of the Association of Independent Mortgage Experts (AIME), Katie oversees the day-to-day operations of the AIME team. She spearheads partnership development, membership growth initiatives, and business analytics. Previously, Katie served as the Senior Vice President at ARIVE where she successfully brought to market a revolutionary portal that provided an all-encompassing technology solution for wholesale brokers. 

Katie’s contributions to the growth and success of the wholesale channel have been noted by HousingWire, who presented Katie as one of 2021’s Women of Influence within the mortgage industry. Mortgage Professional America named Katie to the 2021 Mortgage Global 100 list as well as the Elite Women 2021 award.
