Be part of an AHAMoment for a child! Create a community where all children can express themselves to have equal share in life's abundance. AHA MissionWe create an educational, fun and supportive environment with the goal of helping children learn and experience Aha! Moments—moments that open their natural curiosity and give them confidence in themselves and the amazing things they can achieve. AHA VisionTo create a community where all children have access to resources that will create a spark to encourage and ignite curiosity about nature, arts, and music. About AHAOur nonprofit was founded in 2016 and has continued to provide long standing support of Park Place Elementary School. What started as an annual school uniform distribution to students, holiday food baskets and a music program exponentially expanded with the onset of the pandemic. We recognized the academic necessity of internet access, and the lack thereof for many of the students in the precinct 2 community. To serve and support, was born. School Age kids began utilizing St. Paul’s campus to work remotely in school with the help of our staff. Following the 2021 school year, a four-week Summer Camp was offered to kids with a high focus on providing enrichment opportunities in nature & sciences. In 2022, we are rebranding as we embrace our new identity, AHA! Aha! Academy is a turnkey after school learning program, in which kids not only get help with schoolwork, but also get to explore things like nature, music and art – subjects they don’t get in school. We provide everything from after school snacks, curriculum, transportation to field trips and tutoring help. But our true focus is creating an environment where kids are encouraged to be curious about the world around them, and to help them gain the ability to achieve more, do more and be more than they ever imagined. AHA Needs Your SupportThis fundraiser/launch party will specifically support over +200 children in the precinct 2 community of Houston and our growth. As a developing non-profit, we have been rapidly evolving and this year, we are taking on a huge transition by partnering with underserved elementary schools who need our help in providing our enrichment courses and academic support for them.
