Description

Come for a guided tour of this 1929 home and gardens which are currently under restoration by the Watson-Brown Foundation Designed in 1929 by Philip Trammell Shutze, the May Patterson Goodrum House was considered to be his favorite project, perhaps due to the fact he more than likely had free-rein over its design and decoration. Upon its completion in 1930, the design earned an honorable mention by the Architecture League of New York, a first for Shutze and a rare recognition by the League for southern architecture. Come for a guided tour of the home and gardens which are currently under restoration by the Watson-Brown Foundation. Parking is on the west side of Arden Road. There is no parking on the property. Please be aware of traffic signs and driveway accesses on Arden Road. Accessibility is available on the first floor only. All Phoenix Flies programs adhere to current City of Atlanta health and safety guidelines. All guests, program partners, and employees must wear CDC approved masks for the duration of their visit.
