Become a steward of an urban stream and learn about your local watershed! Join us in picking up trash at Tassajara Creek... WELCOME BACK VOLUNTEERS! Join us on April 16, 2022 from 9 am-12 pm. We will be picking up trash at Tassajara Creek from 9 am-11am. We will then have a volunteer appreciation party from 11 am-12 pm, with a catered lunch and a thank you gift from our program partners. We will be utilizing physical distancing and masks are encouraged. Bring your own water, snacks and gloves. Tools will be provided. Please print and bring a waiver with you. Waivers can be found here. Volunteers under 18 will need a parent or guardian to sign the waiver. Children under 12 must be accompanied with an adult. Parking can be found near the Emerald Glen Skate Park. We will be set up on the corner of Gleason Drive and Creek View Drive, across the street from the Emerald Glen Skate Park. NOTE: All state and local requirements pertaining to COVID-19 will be followed. If you have a fever or other symptoms of COVID-19, think you may have been exposed to someone with COVID-19, or have a pending COVID-19 test, we ask that you refrain from attending the event. All activities will be held outdoors. Staff will have hand sanitizer available and will structure the event to encourage adequate spacing, but consider bringing/wearing a mask for times where there may be close contact with others who may not be fully vaccinated.
