Attend a 1.5 hour training to learn and become an ambassador for the Upstate Medical-Legal Partnership (MLP)! Presenters: Kirby Mitchell, JD- Upstate MLP Legal DirectorBecky Warner, LMSW - Upstate MLP Program CoordinatorEmily Suski, JD, MPH – Associate Professor of Law at USC, CHAMPSand more to be announced... Objective: To train a select group of individuals to have an in-depth knowledge about the MLP who can help identify and facilitate MLP referrals (Similar to a Super User in Epic).Ambassadors will: Understand the purpose of MLPs and why they exist across the country.Gain an in-depth understanding of the Upstate MLP, its partners, how it works, and how YOU fit into the work of the program. Develop a detailed understanding of the different issues/cases that can and should be referred to the Upstate MLP.Be able to answer questions from fellow team members and staff about the Upstate MLP.Understand, and can explain to others, when, how, and why to refer to the Upstate MLP. This training will be conducted yearly so current ambassadors can be 're-certified' and new ambassadors can be trained in.
