What is more comforting than a hot cup of tea on a cold winter day? Join us for this unique and educational opportunity to learn more about the healthy benefits of tea. This workshop will introduce participants to herbs for both morning and nighttime.
In this workshop, we will:
Learn about different herbs that you can use to make your own teas
Discover the healing benefits of each herb
Discuss how to mix and make herbal teas of your own
Make a sampling of your very own teas to take home to enjoy
This class will be taught by Dr. Kristine Thomas-Jones. Kristine has a Ph.D. in Public Health and is an adjunct faculty member at Everglades University and an Assistant Professor of Biology at a local community college in the Tampa Bay region in FL. Kristine is originally from the Buttonwoods area of Warwick, RI. She is a member of the Wampanoag Tribe and her husband is a member of the Narragansett Tribe – together they have founded M’Askeht Herbs.
