The Creative EntrepreneurYou want to make a living doing music. You live it. You dream it. You spend all your time thinking about it, practicing it, teaching it, and making it. And I can’t blame you. I’m the same way. That’s why I have three degrees in music and spent YEARS practicing my instrument. But sometimes things don’t turn out the way we hoped. We struggle to fill our studios. We feel like our business has stagnated. We struggle to raise our rates. We don't know how to connect with an audience. We struggle to put together services and products that people want.We don’t how to create a business plan. There are many reasons why these could be true for you. Yet, it’s likely because no one every showed you how to do it. We go to music school to grow in our musicianship. Some of us even learn how to teach well. Because we care AND we want students to experience the life-changing power of music. AND STILL, we don’t know how to run our studio businesses. We don’t know how to build a career as a performer. We don’t know how to serve our audiences in multiple, creative ways. That’s why I created The Creative Entrepreneur. A workshop to fill those holes in your knowledge and get you set up build your studio, and create a career as a creative entrepreneur. Some of us have parents and friends that doubted, or maybe even still doubt, that you can have a viable career in music. Don’t believe it for a minute. I’ve built multiple teaching studios throughout my career as I’ve moved. It takes hard work, but it’s possible to make a great living in music. And right now I’m currently doing it as a composer! The Creative Entrepreneur workshop is a 2.5 hour training that will help you identify the RIGHT audience for you to serve, help you decide how you can serve them and help them fulfill their dreams, and create your business plan. Save your seat! 9:30am–12pm on Saturday, March 26 at the Walker Ford Community Center at 2301 Pasco St, Tallahassee, FL. TESTIMONIALS"Garrett will help you see practical steps that can help you plan your career path and give you confidence that you can make it work." —Heather Niemi Savage (pianist/composer) "Afterwards I had direction I could start working in that I was happy with straightaway, became motivated to do so and have started doing so already. If you need a bit (or a lot) of clarity and good guidance for how to organize your business in a way you'll be happy with, then come to the workshop." —Roni Glaser "The presentation fleshed out the mindset required to be a successful, profitable musician very nicely. The presentation was well-structured and delivered with enthusiasm. I also thought the answers to audience questions were strong and addressed concerns well. Garrett is an engaging speaker." —Tom Earl TALLAHASSEE MUSIC TEACHERS ASSOCIATIONThe Tallahassee Music Teachers Association is the community partner for The Creative Entrepreneur workshop.
