MERRICK, NY — Two cars were involved in a collision on Tuesday afternoon in Merrick. Just after 2 p.m., police got the call of the crash on Merrick Road at Central Avenue. Police had no details of any injuries, but said it did not appear anyone was badly hurt. However, both cars were damaged from the crash. While police activity was at the scene, the road was closed briefly and traffic was flowing thereafter.
