Medfield Foundation 2022 Summer Camp Fund Appeal Many adults and children have happy memories of summer camp. What if you didn't have the financial means to send your children to camp so they can make their own cherished summer memories? The Medfield Foundation (MFi) board established the Summer Camp Fund in response to a significant need for financial support for local families. Due to difficult financial situations at home, MFi found that many children were unable to attend summer camps. This fund has become a popular way for people with the financial means to do so, to give back to the Medfield community. Their generosity has enabled many children to experience all the happy memories offered by summer camp. Over the summer of 2021 tremendous challenges for families continued on many fronts: from job losses, to safety concerns and restrictions resulting from COVID-19. MFi was thrilled to be able to provide a total of 24 week's worth of camp to local children from funds donated to the Summer Camp Fund appeal. This was only possible due to the incredible generosity of Medfield residents who donate to the Summer Camp Fund. Along with help from the Medfield community, the MFi board hopes to provide support to local families whose children yearn to attend camp, but who simply can't afford it. The MFi board is looking to raise $5,000 to assist as many families as possible give their children the ability to attend summer camp. MFi received this feedback from a Summer Camp Fund recipient: "There are no words that can explain how happy my children are. Thank you so much for giving them this opportunity. My children were very unhappy staying at home after school closed. They were brought back to life with the surprise of attending camp. They are still talking about it and hoping for the chance to return next summer." Please consider supporting the Summer Camp Fund for summer of 2022.
