GREENDALE, WI — A Greendale resident's deck caught on fire on Feb. 27 on 7200 Dorchester Lane around 4 p.m., according to Greendale Police Department logs. Logs say firefighters from Greendale, Hales Corners, Franklin and Milwaukee were called in to help put out the structure fire Nothing suspicious about the fire was observed, police logs say, and a restoration company secured the structure after the fire. Here's a look back at what else Greendale police were dealing with lately according to police logs from Feb. 24-March 3: OWI, Suspended Registration Police arrested a man near 60th Street and Edgerton Avenue around 11 p.m. on Thursday for driving after suspension of registration and OWI 2nd, police logs said. Car Hits Sign And Tree Near Grange Avenue And Northway During Pursuit Greendale police assisted Greenfield police with a police pursuit around noon on Thursday, police logs say. Logs say the vehicle entered the village on Loomis Road and Grange Avenue, struck a sign and tree near Grange and Northway, and left the village at 76th Street and Edgerton Avenue. Police are mailing citations to the suspect, logs say. Open Intoxicant, Drug Paraphernalia Greendale police pulled over a woman on 6700 Grange Avenue early Thursday morning after they saw her car hit the median curb, police logs say. The woman was cited for possession of drug paraphernalia, open intoxicant and failure to control vehicle, logs said. Field sobriety tests were negative and the woman was released on the scene, logs said. Dog Attacks Other Dog A man told police his dog was attacked by another dog on 6600 Manchester Drive around 6:30 p.m. on Feb. 28, according to logs. The dog sustained injuries on his back leg, the owner said, and other people nearby at the time of the incident confirmed it happened, according to police logs. Person Says Mother Hit Him A Greendale resident told Greendale police on Feb. 26 their elderly mother slapped them in the face, police logs said. Wrong-Way Driver Police pulled a man over near 76th Street and Grange Avenue after they saw him driving the wrong way on a divided highway without license plates, police logs said. Police cited him for OWI 2nd refusal.
