Description

Press release from the Town of Concord: March 7, 2022 The Concord Cleanup is a fine tradition where Concordians muster for a town-wide effort to remove litter from our roadsides and public lands to improve the appearance of our town.  This year's event will be held from Saturday, March 26th through Sunday, April 3rd with the major effort on Saturday, April 2nd to spruce up the Town in advance of Patriots Day, which will be observed on April 18th. As in past years, the focus will be to remove bottles, cans, and other litter along our roads and public lands, including parks and playgrounds, conservation lands, well sites, parking lots, schoolyards, and other public areas. Yellow bags for litter and clear bags for recyclables will be distributed from the Natural Resources Division office at 141 Keyes Road between 8:00 am - 4:00 pm Monday through Thursday, Friday 8:00 am - 12 noon.  Full bags will be left along the roadside and at intersections, where possible, for Public Works crews to collect the following week. Individuals, families, neighborhood groups, clubs and organizations should contact the Division of Natural Resources for route assignments and bags. Please drop by the office to sign up and note your location on a map so that as many areas as possible in town are covered, and to reduce duplicate efforts.
