Brush Fire Drew At Least 13 Crews: Baltimore County Officials

GLEN ARM, MD — A brush fire broke out Tuesday afternoon in Baltimore County, according to authorities. It resulted in a road closure for several hours in the Glen Arm area. Smoke was visible in the 11500 block of Notchcliff Road, where crews were called to a large brush fire after 1 p.m., according to the Baltimore County Fire Department. Officials said they expected to be fighting the blaze for an extended period. After 6 p.m., the county fire department reported more than a dozen county fire crews were at the scene. Crews from Towson, White Marsh, Fallston, Jacksonsville and Long Green were among those who sent personnel to the brush fire. Notchcliff Road was closed in the area of Harford Road, the Providence Volunteer Fire Company reported after 2 p.m. By 8:30 p.m., state transportation officials reported MD 147/Harford Road had reopened at Notchcliff Road. ·
