Here are the top stories in Denver today: 50 car pileup crash on I-25. Slick roads and snow caused a huge multi-car pile up on Sunday afternoon in the below-grade portion of the highway near Emerson Street in Denver. (7News)Metro area fire fighters are removing PFAS foam from their units. The Denver Fire Department announced that they will remove the foam known as AFFF, or aqueous film-forming foam from their fire engines. A hazardous materials removal company has been hired to aide in the removal of the PFAS laden foam. PFAS, short for poly-fluoroalkyl is known as a "forever" chemical that can be retained in the human body. (FOX8) Chief Of RTD Police announces resignation. The resignation comes as RTD's ability to secure the agency's transportation network has come under scrutiny over the past six months. Last year, unionized transit employees expressed their safety concerns regarding crime and drug use on public transit and around Union Station. (CBS4)Police investigating theft of human heads. We know crime is up in Denver, but thieves probably got more than they expected when they opened up a box they'd stolen that was labeled 'Exempt Human Specimen.' The box of human heads was stolen from a truck parked in a Central Park neighborhood last week. (9News) Homeless advocacy group wants Denver to be better prepared. The group, Mutual Aid Monday, sent a letter to the City of Denver that criticized the city's decision to open warming centers halfway through the freezing spell in February and only during the day.
