WATSONVILLE, CA — Locals in Watsonville are proud to show off their murals after spending time cleaning them up and making them better than ever. Owner of Studio Judy G, Judy Gittelsohn, cleaned and restored seven existing murals in Taylor's Alley off Main Street with the help of her sales director, Emily Reynolds. Jose Plascencia also deinstalled, reinstalled and varnished the murals. The group teamed up with Scott Taylor of Taylor's Office Supply to get the work done. Gittelsohn also added a new mural to the alley which she titled "An Apple on Blue." Emily Reynolds As Patch previously reported, Main Street is set to see a lot of improvements as part of the Clean California Initiative. One million dollars will go toward improving sidewalks, greenery and adding new artwork along the street.
