T-Rex Paving & Sealing is an established, busy, & local Asheville company. As we continue to grow and gear up for the season, we are looking to expand our team and have several slots to fill. We service all of WNC, Eastern TN, Upstate SC, and growing beyond. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS Ability to maintain, inspect, and clean equipment. Work well with a team Communicates with co-workers, customers, and the public in a respectful manner. Highly motivated and a positive attitude. Willingness to learn and follow all safety policies and requirements. Strong work ethic and physical ability to lift and carry 50lbs Constant physical effort, including standing, is required during a regular work shift of at least eight hours per day. Employees must be able to stand for extended periods of time. Work closely with other crew members using hand signals to coordinate work and ensure safety. Ability to work 40+ hours per week with minimal absences, weekends, & nights when needed WORK ENVIRONMENT Work is performed outdoors in all weather conditions. The work environment periodically exposes the employees to high levels of noise, grease, and dust that are typically associated with a construction project. Employees regularly work near heavy equipment and moving machinery. Work may involve a variety of substances commonly found on construction sites such as form oil, grease, curing compounds, gasoline, diesel fuel, asphalt hot mix, asphalt emulsions, and ready mixed concrete. DRUG FREE WORK ENVIRONMENT! ASPHALT PAVING CREW Experience is preferred but not required. We are willing to train the right candidate. Anything and everything associated with asphalt paving of streets, parking lots, and patching with hot-mix. From unloading/loading of equipment, shoveling, luting, saw cutting, directing trucks, traffic control, layout, tacking, and carrying equipment and materials to cleaning and maintaining asphalt paving equipment and tools. Maintains orderliness, cleanliness, and safety at the job site. Individuals must be highly motivated and task-oriented. Lots of potential for growth.
