SAN FRANCISCO, CA — A missing University of San Francisco college student has been found dead in Fresno County, according to the sheriff's department there Sunday. Chris Liang, 21, was found dead inside his vehicle, a rented Tesla, which was located overturned in a ditch near Panoche Road and Interstate 5 in western Fresno County. The California Highway Patrol received a report of a fatal crash Saturday. The body found inside was later identified as Liang. He had been reported missing Feb. 28 after embarking on a road trip from the Bay Area to Irvine, in Orange County. The University of San Francisco student rented a 2020 Tesla Model 3. Its location was last tracked at a Tesla charging station in Firebaugh, a small Fresno County town east of Interstate 5. There are no further details at this time.
