Midnight Sun Brewing Company is Hiring! The brewery at Midnight Sun Brewing Co. is looking to hire a new entry level packager at our award-winning operation. Over 26 years Midnight Sun has been rated in the top 100 breweries world-wide more than a dozen times. We strive to make some of the best beers in the world and have a good time doing it. Our operation is fast paced with exacting standards that require people with a unique skill set and a strong personality. Midnight Sun is the place to develop a real career in brewing. Most of our brew staff have been with us for 5-10 years and longer. Many of our previous employees have gone on to own or lead breweries across the the U.S. and beyond. This isn’t just a job, it’s a passion! Duties include but are not limited to: · Follow schedule for the day. · Adhere to SOP’s. · Ensure proper packaging of all finished. · Inform Supervisor of equipment malfunction immediately. · Wash kegs. · Operate the forklift proficiently. · Perform set-up and clean-up of a Cask ACS 5 canning machine. · Perform set-up and clean-up of GAI MLE 6-6-1 Bier Bottler. · Cleans the brewery as directed. · Perform maintenance and repairs on various machinery pieces. · Maintain and clean and organized workspace. Minimum Physical Requirements: · Able to kneel, crouch, and work in confined spaces. · Able to lift 35 pounds repeatedly. · Able to lift 75 pounds occasionally. · Able work in loud, fast paced environments. · Able to stand for up to 12 hours a day. · Able to work around dust, water, chemicals safely. · Able to operate machinery and hand tools. Minimum Qualifications: · No DUI’s within the last 5 years. · High School Diploma or GED. · Work history that reflects the ability to learn and be trained. · Punctual and reliable. Desired Qualifications: · A passion for craft beer and the brewing industry. · High level of self-motivation and strong work ethic. · Ability to be punctual and ready to successfully complete the day’s tasks. · Ability to multi-task while being detail- and quality-focused, achieving good results in a timely manner. · Ability to work independently as well as part of a MSBC team. · Positive, levelheaded demeanor to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. · Ability to follow direction and accept criticism and re-direction. · Good mechanical skills. · Good physical condition with ability to lift, up to 55 pounds, repeatedly during the course of normal production, climb stairs and ladders, stoop in close quarters, grip and manipulate tri-clamps plus ability to operate forklift, pallet jack, hand truck, etc. · Ability to read and understand a variety of scientific instruments and calculations. · Good sanitary habits. · Ability to adhere to safety rules but remain keen to new safety issues in a changing work environment. · Good written and oral communication skills, including Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook). · Clean driving record.
