Description

We are a granite and quartz countertop fabricator seeking a Quality Control Inspector to join our team! You will confirm the quality of materials and finished products as well as identify areas of improvement to increase efficiency. CORE FUNCTIONS: Manages quality control and/or repairs in production area and field Stages projects to facilitate efficient pick up and loading by installers/field crews Operates Forklift for expediting/inventory control Coordinates/performs maintenance equipment/utilities in production area/yard Enables a clean, safe and organized environment in and around staging area/yard DETAILS OF FUNCTION: Checks/measures pieces against templates and/or blueprints to ensure proper fabrication quality Completes in-house repairs and/or returns deficient pieces to respective departments for corrections Loads carts with completed projects, readying projects for pick up by field crew Operates Forklift Aids in meeting production deadlines Works with installers/field crew in mornings to ensure pieces are loaded completely and correctly Supervises cleaning and organization of staging/quality control area Communicates candid evaluation of deficiencies to supervisor(s) Identifies and corrects unsafe/hazardous practices and conditions in and around production area/yard, especially within staging/quality control area Works a base schedule of 6AM – 2:30PM 8 hour/5 day/40 hour week Monday through Friday w/ occasional overtime and Saturdays when necessary QUALIFICATIONS: Minimum 2 years experience in quality control. Previous fabrication experience a plus. Forklift experience a plus. Demonstrates superior attention to detail, work ethic, and positive attitude. Excels in self-management. Must possess exceptional organizational skills. Demonstrates ability to prioritize. Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills. Must have valid driver’s license and auto insurance. Must pass background check and be authorized to work in United States.
