We support and promote our team, and we truly all work together. We are currently looking for a full-time maintenance technician for a condominium complex in Hollywood. SUMMARY: The Maintenance Technician shall be responsible for day-to-day maintenance activities and upkeep of the HOA Property. The position reports to the General Manager and/or other designated management. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following: Building Maintenance and Repairs General building maintenance work as needed. Ideal candidate will have the skills to install light fixtures and bulbs, doors, cabinets, paneling, Formica, carpet, etc. Paint interior and exterior walls and cabinets; assemble furniture. Light carpentry work: Maintain and repair items such as door frames, molding, drywall and other miscellaneous repairs. Replace washers, faucets and seals on malfunctioning plumbing equipment; repair leaky faucets and clean clogged drains. Maintain monthly inspections and maintenance reports of building and HVAC roof motors and fans and replace as needed; clean, grease and paint all equipment used in heating and ventilation. Maintain a clean and professional work appearance. Assist with maintaining security of property. General repair and maintenance of plumbing, HVAC, and electrical systems. Perform cleaning tasks as required. Organizational: Work independently or in a team situation in the absence of supervision. Understand and be able to follow oral and written directions given in English. Understand and follow safety requirements for the equipment and work practices related to this job, including, but not limited to, the handling of hazardous chemicals. Communicate and interact effectively with co-workers, managers, subordinates and the membership to exchange or convey information and to give and receive work direction. Maintain work records as directed. Use hand and power tools in a safe and effective manner. Perform related duties as assigned. Security: Report suspicious or unusual objects or activity on property to supervisor. Report any situation that might be potentially hazardous to the supervisor. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate, and appropriate safety measures should be taken around noisy equipment. The employee may work at heights. While performing job duties, some heavy lifting, standing, climbing stairs and slopes, working around both open water and swimming pool environments without lifeguards will occur.
