I would like to know if you or if you know of anyone that will be getting married this year and still looking for a venue? Me and my fiancé are in a pickle as the original venue location we selected we no longer want because we found a better venue that fits with our wedding theme.
However if we cancel now we will be charged 80% cancellation fee which is $8000 that we will have to pay. We have already paid $6000 so far and lookin for someone to reimburse us that amount with taking over the contract. I’m trying to find someone that wants to take over our contract. The contract is for 100 people, chivari chairs and the inside is for a ballroom with dance floor, linens etc for $10,500 from 5pm-11pm on august 6th. The venue is at a hotel. The ceremony is outside in a grass lawn area and the reception is inside the ballroom.
I’m not sure what else to do!
