Cat With FIV Rehoming

Description

It pains me extremely to post this but I am considering rehoming one of my cats, Charlie, that has been diagnosed with FIV. I found him outside after he had been brutally attacked by another cat, nursed him back to health and have kept him as an indoor cat since (around 2020). He has problems with using the restroom outside the litter box at times and, with my other animals, it becomes complicated for me to give him the special time and attention he deserves. He is a very loving and affectionate cat, and is not destructive. My veterinarian estimates him to be around 8-10 years old. For reference, FIV is an immunodeficiency virus that can be spread to other cats. Therefore, he must be kept as an only cat unless the other resident cats also have FIV. Cats with FIV can live long and healthy lives if kept inside away from disease outside. He loves to be outside in his little cat tent to bask in the sun when the weather is nice to keep him safe from the outside. I will only consider an extremely loving home for him to spend the rest of his days in, as he is an extremely special cat to me. Photos directly after rescue and recently for attention.
