AHERA Building Inspector/Project Manager

Position involves conducting pre-demolition/pre-renovation asbestos surveys in accordance with AHERA, State, and local regulations and guidelines; qualifying types and volumes/areas of ACM within the surveyed building; assisting with assembling ACM survey reports and abatement design documents and budgets. Position also involves estimating and managing asbestos abatement, mold remediation and lead renovation projects. Prior experience and certifications in all fields preferred but not required. Responsibilities: *Perform sampling of suspect asbestos-containing building materials in accordance with AHERA and OSHA guidelines and prepare report. *Perform lead-based paint inspections in accordance with EPA guidelines and prepare report. *Coordinate project needs with the department manager. *Prepare proposals and meet with customers. *Coordinate project start up and updates with customers. *Meet with fellow project staff and field technicians as necessary. *Prepare and coordinate change orders. *Report writing and review. *Meetings with regulatory agencies is necessary. *Must have professional integrity and able to work independently. Requirements: *Strong verbal and written communication/interpersonal skills. *Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite. *Must have valid drivers license. *License Asbestos Inspector preferred. *Lead-Based Paint Inspector/Risk Assessor or Renovator Certification preferred. *Ability to multitask *Experience in Renovation construction field preferred. *Ability to work in a team setting. *Project estimating and management preferred. *Must be able to pass a government background check.
