ResponsAble is seeking a Bilingual/Spanish speaking Safety Technician to work in the Baton Rouge area. The Bilingual Safety Technician should have 1+ years of prior experience at a commercial construction site. ResponsAble is willing to train the right candidate to start a safety career. Our ideal candidate should be action oriented; willing to take the initiative to complete tasks in an efficient, but safe manner; problem solver; have a drive to succeed with a high degree of integrity. Good position for an entry level Safety Technician or recent college graduate with a degree in Safety. Compensation: $20 an hour. Must be able to read, write and speak Spanish. Implement Standard operating procedures facility wide Monitor work areas for compliance of safety policies throughout the facility Provide Safety support for contractor groups Monitor and audit JSA’s throughout the facility Serve as Liaison between Operation/Maintenance and Safety team Ability to work outdoors in extreme weather conditions, dusty environments, stand for a long period of time and lift at least 30 pounds Experience in General Industry and Construction (CFR 1910 and 1926) OSHA 30 preferred but not required.
