GCH Machinery, located in Warren, MI, is a global supplier of turnkey grinding systems. Job requirements: • Manage all required shipping and receiving documentation, bills-of-lading, customs forms, etc. • Prepare customer orders for shipment, both domestic and international • Prepare small package shipments for delivery service companies such as UPS and FedEx • Prepare large package shipments for trucking companies • Assist with crate building, loading and unloading • Ensure products are labeled correctly for shipment • Contact transport companies to trace or expedite merchandise • Receive orders (unload, visually inspect, break down and stock) • Prepare and maintain shipping supplies and help keep department organized • Assist with the setup and organization of the tool crib • Manage inventory and cycle counting of the tool crib on a regular basis • Maintain consumable tooling inventory levels and ensure other miscellaneous items are stocked. • Verify inventory numbers by comparing them to physical counts of stock and investigate discrepancies or adjust errors • Stores articles in bins, on floor, or on shelves, according to identifying information such as style, size or type of material • Handle assigned miscellaneous warehouse tasks • Assist in other areas of the plant when needed Qualifications: • Previous experience in shipping/receiving preferred • Must be able to drive a hi-lo • Ability to stand for 8+ hours a day • Able to lift between 50 - 65 lbs. on a daily basis • Must be highly motivated with great work ethic, very dependable, fast moving and able to work well with others • Must be able to use hand and power tools • Must be capable of completing tasks in a fast-paced environment • Ability to handle physical workload • Attention to detail and ability to multi-task • Basic computer skills • Able to communicate effectively in writing • Possess basic math skills (add, subtract, multiply and divide)
