Overview of Key Duties and Responsibilities: The Motel Services Advocate, under the supervision of the Motel Services Coordinator, is responsible for carrying out day-to-day Motel Services operations. The Motel Services Advocate will work with program guests in a compassionate and professional manner as it relates to the isolation program objectives. Objectives include supportive interaction with program guests, Homeless Leadership Coalition (HLC) steering committee, Deschutes County Behavioral Health, motel management, volunteers, partner agencies and team members. The Advocate completes vulnerability assessments for potential guests and unhoused community members and performs all work duties as required. The weekly schedule for this position will include weekends. POSITION QUALIFICATIONS: • Covid-19 Vaccine required • Experience working in a shelter or houseless community preferred • Passion for helping others and a desire to work in an organization that serves people who are experiencing poverty and houselessness required • Weekend work required • English/Spanish bilingual preferred • General knowledge of substance abuse and mental illness, and Trauma Informed Care • Patience, punctuality, commitment, and responsibility required • Knowledge of HIPAA and adherence to client confidentiality • Prior to date of hire and throughout employment: o Valid driver’s license o Proof of current auto insurance o Access to reliable transportation required o Satisfactory criminal background check required For further details and instructions on how to apply, please visit our Website at www.neighborimpact.org/jobs
