We are looking for an awesome Delivery Driver at Loopie Laundry! This position will be responsible for ensuring the successful pickup and delivery of customer orders, communicating with a dispatcher, and providing a stellar customer experience. All you have to do is follow the tasks assigned to you and pick-up and deliver duffel bags full of laundry. ADDITIONAL EARNING OPPORTUNITIES AVAILABLE! What We’re Seeking Comfortable driving in a fast-paced environment, solving problems on the fly, and working closely with a dispatcher. Values efficiency and maintains a diligent, flexible mindset-able to react to changes without becoming overwhelmed. A kind and caring attitude with strong people skills; willing and able to build and maintain relationships between washers, customers, and dispatchers. Excellent communication skills. General Responsibilities Follow route assigned via Onfleet; communicate any task discrepancies with dispatcher; provide superior customer service and ensure an outstanding customer experience; actively communicate with team members; answer questions from new customers/washers and be able to communicate effectively about Loopie. Compensation Drivers are paid a minimum of $20 for a completed time slot and are considered on-call for this two hour period. This means that if a driver signs up to be on-call from 2PM to 4PM, they'll need to be available at 2! If nothing comes in for that time period, drivers will be alerted by the dispatcher and they will still be paid $20. If a slot winds up being busy, drivers will be paid more if they pick up three or more orders, at which point the rate changes to $7 per order. If, for example, a driver picked up four orders during their slot, they would be paid $28. Drivers also receive TIPS. Payments are sent via direct deposit twice a month. Requirements Must have access to a working and insured car/vehicle. Must reside in the city of Chicago. Candidates on the northwest side (near the Kennedy expressway; e.g. Logan Square, Irving Park, Avondale, Wicker Park, Humboldt Park) or on the near south side (within 20 minutes of the Dan Ryan or Lakeshore Drive; e.g. Bronzeville, Kenwood, Hyde Park, Douglas) strongly preferred. Most orders are concentrated in the neighborhoods along the lake, and the partnered laundromat is in Uptown, so Lakeshore Drive will be a road frequently traveled. Available to work in the mornings or afternoons (8am - 12pm, 12pm - 4pm, 8am - 4pm) Must be at least 18 years of age. Must be able to carry heavy laundry bags! Job Types: Part-time, Contract Compensation Pay: $7 per customer pickup & delivery ($20 minimum per timeslot, $100 / day) APPLY HERE: What is Loopie? Loopie does not own a single washer and dryer and instead utilizes a network of Certified Washers and Laundromat Partners to fulfill orders. Loopie drivers pick up and deliver orders from customers and deliver them to the nearest available washer or laundromat partner. Washers and laundromats will wash, dry, and fold the order and alert the driver when it is ready to be picked up and delivered back to the customer less than 24 hours after pickup.
