Sweet loving cat needs a dog free home

This is Elton, he was abandoned and starving so we took him in. Unfortunately I am pretty sure that he must have been through a traumatic event with dogs in his past, because he has been with us several months and just cannot adjust to life with dogs, even if they are old and don’t even look at him. He needs a home with absolutely no dogs. He does fine with our cats. We got him fixed and got him shots but they expired this month we have had him over a year. We really truly wanted it to work out and wanted him to adjust but he can’t live like this constantly hiding. We never get to give him any attention because he still is not comfortable enough to come out. He would be the worlds most amazing pet for a calm household with no dogs. When we do see him he puts his arms on our shoulders and gives us hugs and is extremely affectionate and I hate that he has to live constantly hiding. I’ve tried contacting rescues and shelters and they won’t take him. It’s stressing me out because he needs a better life. I’m asking a $50 adoption fee, but I will pay that $50 to your vet when you book him an appointment for a check up and update his shots. I don’t want your money, I just want to make sure you’re not sending him somewhere to be tortured and that he will be a loving pet. I’m overwhelmed and sad about this and I wish that it didn’t have to be this way, but he can’t live like this. If you know the perfect home for him will you please pass on this ad to that person?
