Description

I have a 4-5 year old French Bulldog. He is an amazing dog but has gone through something terrible to cause his behavior. When he is kenneled, he can be aggressive with the door being shut, being put in there, etc. I have worked with him and if you take your time and tell him back up (he usually does but some days he wont) and make him sit down, before I close the door. It has helped, but being an only dog, he wouldn't need to be kenneled at all. He can sleep with you at night, he rides in the car, he doesn't chew anything that isn't a dog toy or bone. He has periodically marked. But overall is potty trained. He has a belly band that will go with him as he transitions to a new place. He has some food aggression, mostly with other dogs, but if you go to grab his bowl, sometimes he can be possessive over it. This is why we feed in the kennel, and I remove it after letting him out to go potty, and then close the door, so when I need to feed him next I can safely do so. If we arent feeding him this way, We feed him by hand his meals. Being an only dog will also eliminate this issue 90% - but you'd need to still be aware it could happen, especially if you leave the bowl out 24/7. He also can get over aroused with certain noises/objects. Like a blow dryer, garden hose with water going through it, drills, shower hitting the tub, nerf guns, etc. We've worked on it, and for the most part I can tell him to leave it, and he will just stand there watching and panting excessively vs attacking object or the hands holding the object by accident. This includes with kids, so I have to be careful having kids with him. However he absolutely loves kids, till they are not polite and he will nip. And he can accidently get fingers when they play with certain toys. Other than that, He is the perfect dog. If you'd like to call to discuss him further, he has many many good qualities that out way the 3 cons list. I got him to save his life and I've been training him for almost a year to give him a second chance either with us, or a new family. I'd love to see him adopted and living his best life I'm a less busy household, as ours is far too busy and active, and constantly undergoing changes. I am asking a fee to cover his Neuter and Vaccines and ensure he has a good and commited home. He is UTD, flea Free, and Neutered. As I said, I have a belly band for him, his collar and leash, and a muzzle/mask for his breed for as needed. He does get along with dogs and cats, and ferrets.
