Taking a shot in the dark here: My mom was in SB on Thursday, March 3rd and lost her diamond ring. She was shopping on State St. with two of her best friends and noticed it was gone. They retraced every step, asked everywhere they went, checked garbage cans, etc. The ring was custom made as a symbol of her late mother with the diamonds from her wedding ring. I know there are good people in the world and hope that someone found it.
