Looking for a great side job to supplement your income? Historic Union Club Tacoma is hiring for PT Event Staff for the upcoming season. No food service or bussing tables required! Event staff will be responsible for making sure our building is maintained when an event is going on, preparing for the event, and doing the necessary post-tasks when our events conclude. The best person for this job would be someone who believes in great customer service, can follow written and verbal directions, and is willing to lift tables and chairs. Most events take place on the weekends, however, there are chances for events to be on the weekdays. We will schedule out events for our event team to be able to view and see which shifts work best with their schedule. Hours typically range from 6-20 hours per month. Necessary notes: - Hours vary and are based on events - Must be able to check your email and event schedule weekly - Pay is $15/hour - Our event hall has stairs - Reliability and attention to detail is a must - We want someone who has a smile and is ready to work Duties: - Working under the instructions of our Event Manager - Ensuring the event hall is clean and organized - Adhering to event safety standards - Ensuring excellent levels of customer service for all you come in contact with - Helping to make sure our building is locked up and secure following events - Assuming the role of front desk by welcoming guests - Occasionally setting up projector, microphone and Bluetooth speakers - Communicating with Events Manager - Being on-site for events - Answering questions about the building and providing items to renters (trash bags, extension cords) - Inspecting equipment for damage after use and checking it against an inventory list - Packing up equipment when the event is completed Interested?
