The Manufacturing Laborer position is responsible for a variety of tasks within the manufacturing environment. Duties are labor intensive and repetitive. Applies and develops basic skills in procedures appropriate for the position within the assigned functional area. Works under direct supervision and from detailed verbal and/or written instructions. Essential Functions: Responsible for adherence to all company policies, including, but not limited to and the use of personal protective equipment, other health, safety and environmental procedures. Helps maintain a clean and safe working environment. Performs general housekeeping within production facilities. Performs tasks such as shoveling, sweeping, organizing, etc. as needed. Assists operators in production when necessary. Operate a lift truck, power, or air tool to accomplish designated tasks. Regular and predictable attendance is essential to this position. Knowledge, Education and Experience A high school diploma, GED, or equivalent education or experience is required. At least one years' experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred. General knowledge of the production process is valuable. Must have strong communication skills working within a diverse population.
