PIPERSVILLE, PA — Building, designer and TV host Jay Chaikin is opening a vintage retail showroom and design headquarters in Bedminster Township.
The Bucks County native and host of "Abandoned" on the National Geographic Channel will offer antiques and architectural rarities at Reclaimed Relics in Pipersville.
Chaikin is known for his appearances as host of "Restoration Wild" on Animal Planet, which follows him and his crew of builders and designers as they repurpose old structures and relics left abandoned in the landscape, and "Abandoned" on the National Geographic Channel, where he explores old structures across America to find pieces of forgotten history.
Reclaimed Relics will offer custom installation services for homes and businesses with the promise to "transform any ordinary space into an extraordinary environment," a spokesperson said in a press release.
Chaikin and his crew of builders and designers will be at a grand opening event on Saturday, Nov. 21, at 7037 Easton Road, Pipersville, starting at noon. A pig roast will be provided by Blooming Glen Pork & Catering starting at noon, along with authentic Mexican cuisine, and Jim Roney will perform live music at 4 p.m. The entire event will be outdoors, so those who attend should dress for the occasion. Masks are required when a distance cannot be maintained.
