Description
LIVERMORE, CA — Kristie Wang and Yanira Guzmán appeared to be headed to the Livermore Valley Joint Unified School District board as of Wednesday morning.
Wang, a public policy advocate, received 27% of votes (9,552 votes), while Guzmán, career coach and parent, received 22% (7,602 votes) as of 11 p.m., with all 39 precincts reporting.
Incumbent Charles "Chuck" Rogge trailed in fourth place with 17% in the race to fill two open seats on the board.
Kandiss Hewing, human resource specialist, came in third with 17% of the vote, while Asa Strout, business analyst, also received about 17% of votes.
The results are unofficial and have not been certified. The county said it must still tally an unspecified number of mailed ballots.
