MT. DIABLO, CA — A Livermore pilot was involved in a recent mid-air glider crash near Mt. Diablo, east of Walnut Creek.
The glider pilots survived after the crash around 1 p.m. Nov. 7, the Contra Costa Sheriff's Office said Tuesday.
One was found south of Tassajara Creek Trail, wrapped in his parachute. The other was found nearby and taken by helicopter to a medical helicopter, which transported him to a hospital the sheriff's office said. His injuries prevented him from being taken by car.
The other pilot was from Palo Alto.
