The prestigious New York Athletic Club, one of the world's premier private clubs, founded in 1868 and located on Central Park South in Manhattan is seeking a full-time Laundry Washer. The laundry washer is responsible to prepare, receive and send daily linen via delivery truck, then distribute clean linen to guest room floors. This list should include all of the essential functions of the position and should be developed with consideration to actual position responsibilities, duties and accountabilities carried out by current or past employees in the position: * Responsible for opening large boxes of towels, sheets, pillow cases, in order to circulate new linen * Responsible to prepare large empty linen carts to collect dirty linen from guest floors. * Responsible for receiving large deliveries of clean linen. * Responsible for heavy delivery of new Linen/Towels. * Responsible for timely delivery of clean linen and towels to Guest floor closets re-stocking accurately where needed. * Responsible for banquet and restaurant linen deliveries and distribution to appropriate areas. * Responsible to clean the laundry room by sweeping and mopping regularly. Previous Laundry Washer experience preferred. Team player and works well with others. Must be able to move large and heavy linen carts and boxes.
