All original songs, Electric Guitar, Bass, Keyboards and Drums oriented band start up, professional, etc. Power Pop, Bluesy Psychedelic Punk, RocknRock, Dissonant, Noisy Melodic Rock, and more. Catchy, well thought out chord progressions and arrangements. We don't want to sound like a generic re-representation of everything already out there. We won't be doing the type of agonizingly slow, boring, melodically meandering, amateur, indie, dreampop, computer based solo singer songwriter music that is currently in vogue. So having a natural sense of how a beat, rhythm and melody converges with song structures combined is essential. Pop dance type music is not in the recipe. Good music happens when real thought and smart work is put into it. Bad music happens when people take short cuts. We won't be taking short cuts. Looking for pro level, fully developed vocal talent. Broadway Theater, Opera, Bel Canto vocal styles (vibrato every other note and at the end of every line where a note is held) is not needed or wanted. Nonstop vocal vibrato is out of date for rock ever since The Beatles. Power, versatility and a decent solid range needed, with an engaging voice with texture that has some edge or a sound or two or three. Hopefully you're the type of musician who studies what great vocalists do and then modifies it, creatively, to suit your voice and songs you're learning. Preferably you have ongoing training and coaching. Vocals only; I am convinced that when attention is divided between vocals and playing an instrument then the vocal performance suffers. Thus, I want the singer focused on delivering great vocals, only. The ultimate goal is: write, record, tour, full time and make a living at it. Yes, it is doable, provided that talent is there. If you want to leave your day job or work situation down the road (in about six or seven months after debut) this may be the ticket. If you're looking for a low commitment hobby type band project this is not it. If you're about doing business and selling records that can chart this has a very good chance.
