You were the blonde girl, with light eyes, standing next to a friend on the corner of Bedford and Grand. Your coat was wrapped around your arms like a shawl. It had an iridescent glow. I was across the street, in a blue polka dot coat, with my hair in a bun, holding a coffee and a bag of cookies. I caught your gaze and couldn’t look away. I wanted to stare at you forever. And I knew I should have turned around and find you when we crossed paths but I didn’t. And now I can’t forget you. I hope you see this. I hope it finds you. I hope I see your gaze again.
