                          Be part of the Highwood for the Holidays                             All Things Beautiful & Bright Campaign!                                       Give • Support • CelebrateIt’s a trifecta as we support families in need, local independent businesses and provide fun COVID safe activities for the extended communities that celebrate Highwood as a destination for all ages!Highwood is putting the cheer in the holiday season with their ‘all things beautiful and bright’ installation. In follow up to the successful Halloween Invasion of Skeletons, the streets of Downtown Highwood will be adorned with 60+ beautifully decorated holiday trees and at least a dozen Festivus light pole displays, offering the public a COVID-safe, drive-through or walk-by holiday experience.From now through mid-January, the Highwood for the Holidays All Things Beautiful and Bright Campaign will bring holiday cheer in more ways than one:Gifting Tree Campaign – Now through Mid-December: The trees will have ornaments with QR codes that will link visitors to three website shopping pages where they can purchase warm winter clothing, household items and toys for families in need around Lake County. Giving Tree Campaign – After this initial holiday gift campaign the QR codes will transition into a Winter Warming campaign that offers visitors the opportunity for continued giving in the form of local business gift cards, grocery gift cards, food and winter clothing drives.Holiday Photo Opp’s – designated trees will be the location of sponsored photo opportunities, contests, giveaways, etc. Ornament Scavenger Hunts – The public will be invited to come out for COVID-safe sponsored holiday ornament scavenger hunts. Three designated time periods from December through mid-January will invite the public to get out of their house, drive or walk through town in search of themed ornaments hidden throughout town. Curbside Cocktail, Cookies and Carryout Campaign - All this while promoting the ongoing support of local businesses – what used to be a time where hundreds would come out for Highwood’s Elf Invastion Pub Crawl, 12 Drinks of Christmas and Holiday Cookie Walk – we will be promoting COVID-safe curbside pick up campaign while coming out to see Highwood for the Holidays All Things Beautiful and Bright Campaign.
